Job Summary:
The Service Technician is responsible for all aspects of installation, maintenance, and repairs of plumbing systems/fixtures in residential and commercial locations. The Service Technician will conduct installations and repairs in a timely manner and will ensure that all customer service standards are achieved.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for the preparation of project estimates and developing the pricing for competitive bids in the pursuit of plumbing projects (remodel, re-pipe, re-drain, etc.)
- Responsible for assessing the project, reading blueprints, reports, contracts and conceptual drawings to determine the plumbing requirements for the project
- Responsible for the installation, modification of and/or the repair of commercial and residential plumbing systems, fixtures, equipment for drainage, water, waste, and/or other liquid pressure systems
- Responsible for diagnosing the plumbing problem and applying repair or replacement corrective measures. Will perform quality check on all work performed to ensure that the plumbing problem is appropriately resolved
- Work with blueprints and job specifications as it applies to the job
- Ensures that all service work orders are approved by the customer prior to initiating service and that payment is collected at time of service completion
- Complete work reports for all assigned service projects and maintain documents such as receipts, material lists and other documents as they relate to the nature of the job
- Ensure that company vehicle, tools and equipment are properly serviced, clean, and in good working condition. Complete and submit routine truck maintenance checklist according to company vehicle policy. Adhere to the requirements of the company vehicle policy for the use, care, and maintenance of company vehicles
- Responsible for maintaining a proper set of personal hand tools and equipment to perform the essential functions of the job
- Will be scheduled to work “on-call” rotations as required
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of plumbing experience with a demonstrated proficiency in diagnosing, troubleshooting, installing, repairing, and maintaining various types of plumbing systems, fixtures, water heating, water treatment or waste-water systems
- Ability to operate basic hand and power tools necessary to perform essential functions of the job
- Must be capable of working in a field-based position with exposure to extreme weather elements Possess valid Florida Driver’s License and clean DMV record in accordance with company policy
- Advanced computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office including MS Word, Excel and Google Sheets
- Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills are required
